Become Streetwise - Adult/Senior Safety

May 22nd,  7-9 pm

Professor Arthur Cohen of Target Consultants International will conduct a seminar on personal safety that will help you reduce the risks of becoming a victim.   Topics covered will include knowing the dangers, increasing mental awareness, vacation safety, safety at home, risks of traveling via car or public transportation, scams, identity theft and credit card safety.

Teen Soft Metal Art

Friday, May 23rd, 4:30 - 5:30pm
Grades 6-12

With the help of Joanne Manning, create your own metallic design and engrave it with wooden tools. Then antique it with colorful markers. This is an awesome and unusual art form that you definitely don’t want to miss.

Kids To Teens Movin' Up Party!

May 31, 12:30 - 2:00pm
For 5th Graders moving to 6th Grade

Do you know a kid, who's moving up in the world? 
If you are going into 6th grade this September, then come down to our Movin' Up Party and learn about all of the great things the Library has to offer to Teens! Enjoy food, snacks and games and hang out with Stefanie our Teen Librarian. We will also update your Rainbow card to a picture card (a parent or caregiver must be present) and give you all the info you need about our YA Summer Reading Club, Teen Blog & newsletter, Battle of the Books, Teen programs and all of our great magazines, books and graphic novels! Don't miss out on the fun! Parent or guardian must attend with each child. Please register using child’s library card.
